SAUNG GAUK (The traditional arched harp from Burma/Myanmar) Lesson 02: Using both fingers together as shown by my teacher U Phone Myint Using the thumb and index finger in octaves like shown in this example is a good practise for the distances between the different string sets and intervalls. Normally the thumb is the leading finger which needs most of the practise, because it jumps from string to string while the index finger just plays scales and most of the time touches the next string immediately.
